For all of Monday September 7th and most of Tuesday September 8th the Taurus Moon is here to remind us to be grounded, help us to see what we are passionate about and the things we value. In the middle of the night Sunday night Monday morning the Moon will connect with Uranus and that can create some restless sleeping or fantastic dreams. If you have some weird dreams that night be sure to write them out for future reference. They may not make sense right now but they will later.
The Moon enters information-oriented Gemini at 5:28 PM ET and remains in that sigh till early Friday morning, so half of Tuesday all of Wednesday and Thursday the emotional dynamic will be centered around information, misinformation and possibly overload.
In this time frame we also have the big news of the month and that is Mars Turns Retrograde on September 9th and remains that way till November 14th. This means over the coming 9 weeks the outgoing, pioneering, accomplishment-oriented energy that Mars in Aries represents will now be turned inward. Some of the other words that describe Mars in Aries is active, competitive, impulsive, impatient, passionate, anger, violence, war, courageous and driven.
In the week on either side of these exact dates we can expect to feel some frustration if things are not moving along as quickly as you would like them to be moving along. This is because the planet is not moving in either direction and that can feel like frustration and being stuck. DON’T PUSH it will be like banging your head against a brick wall thanks to the aspects Mars will be making to the Capricorn planets as well as the retrograde motion of Mars.
I want to be clear here! Not everyone or all of us will feel all of these things in the same way. How you handle this retrograde of Mars depends on a few things, where the retrograde is in your chart, maybe you’re born with Mars retrograde so this time will resonate with you more than others. Maybe it is time for you to do a lot of work behind the scenes or a lot of internal work. Depending on where this is activity is in your chart will tell you more information as to how you can use this retrograde energy of Mars in Aries.
I don’t want you to go down the rabbit hole either. I’ve seen other famous Astrologers scare the heck out of people talking about only the negative way this can play out and I do not agree that this is a completely and totally negative thing transit. Do bad things happen, do people get angry, do we have war and violence and impatience? Of course we do. But it is your perspective, where you are coming from that makes the difference. How you choose to respond to what is happening around you is the free will of the Soul. You have the right and freedom to choose how you will respond to what is in your world and how you are feeling. If you would like help figuring out how to manage that messages me, we can talk.
The retrograde time frame is here to slow us down, give us a chance to catch our breath and to internalize some of the things we have been working on. Instead of internalizing I could also say integrating the energies you are working with.
The retrograde time frame is not the time to forge head, it really isn’t. I understand we all need to work and begin new projects all the time. So if you need to start new things do it in small little bits or a little at a time so if things do go wrong, it is not such a big loss. I say this not out of fear but from the practical understanding of Mars retrograde. We need to be taking our time right now and making sure we are in alignment with our passion and we are creating from a heart centered place not from a place of fear.
The Moon will be in Cancer most of Friday and all of Saturday. This adds to the number of planets in Cardinal signs and we may feel tempted to start new projects anyway. If you are so inclined go ahead and follow your instincts. Small projects are ok it is the big ones that may have delays and the feelings of frustration around them.
Finally the last transit I want to talk about is Jupiter. The big boy of the Solar System is also stationary this week readying to move direct at 8:41 PM ET on Saturday September 12th. It will take a few weeks before we even notice that Jupiter is moving direct and that is normal for this planet every year. What can we expect right now? Well Jupiter will be moving closer to Pluto during the Mars retrograde and during election time here in the U.S.A. it is my feeling and I think it seems obvious that this election season will be more cantankerous and tenacious than ever. Very stressful for a lot of people who are politically aligned. I don’t care what side you’re on if you’re heavily involved in politics it’s going be stressful.
Shifting gears from stress, it is my intention to use the retrograde of Mars and the direct movement of Jupiter to be as productive as I can. Like I’ve already mentioned little projects are fine to begin and work on. One of the things Jupiter in Capricorn is about is the foundational pieces of our education. I plan to work on solidifying a lot of teaching projects I have going, pulling everything all together.
If you’re thinking about going back to school finishing up a degree or a course excellent, maybe you are reviewing some information so you can take another test for certification, even better. Just a few examples how we can use these planets in a positive way even during these tumultuous times on our planet.
